What Is Rectum Prolapse?
It is the protrusion of reotal mucosa through and opening during defeeation or any strainous act. It may be
- Partial Reactal Prolapse: Whose only mucose get prolapse and its length is around 3.75cm out of the anus
- Complete Rectal Prolapse: Where in this case all layers of rectum get prolapsed and it is more than 3.75cm of length.
How Rectal Prolapse Occurs?
- Week musculature/ malnarishment
- Chronic dynestry/ diarhoea
- Strainous work
- Long standing haemorrhoids in old age
What Are The Symptoms?
- Prolapsed of mucosa during defecation. It encircle the anal area
- Discharge : Due exposure of anal mucosa to exterior it increases mucosal secretions
- Bleeding : It is less common but may occurs due to inflamed and ulcerated mucosa
